Not in any specific order:
1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan
Percy Jackson’s life gets a lot more complicated when he finds out he is the son of the Greek god Poseidon. At camp half-blood he will learn to use and harness his powers. Throughout the series, Percy, Annabeth, and his satyr Grover go on dangerous quests to help protect Olympus.
This was the first series that I ever read in its entirety. Every time I tried to put it down I couldn’t help but obsess about what was going to happen next. I loved this series and highly recommend it.
2. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
After the block on her mind is removed, Clary Fray discovers that she is a shadowhunter and that there is more to this world than what she can see. Clary, Jace, Alec, and Isabelle do everything they can to keep the mortal instruments out of Valentines hands.
I read this series in 2013 when I was in the hospital getting my transplant and the last book wasn’t out yet. I loved it so much. I have recently re-read it and loved it just as much as the first time. The movie and the tv show do not do it justice.
3. Hush, Hush Series by Becca Fitzpatrick
Nora has never be attracted to any of the guys at her school. Until Patch shows up, pulling Nora closer and closer to him against her better judgement. A forbidden love in the making. Nora finds herself caught up in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen. Which side will she choose?
This series was heartbreakingly wonderful. It didn’t take much for me to fall in love with Patch just as Nora did. This is definitely one I will read again and again.
4. Fallen Series by Lauren Kate
Luce is new at Sword and Cross Academy, a school for delinquents. She falls in love with an amazing boy named Daniel, only to find out that he is a fallen angel and that they have spent many lifetimes loving and losing each other while good and evil forces try to keep them apart. Only this time will be different…
I could not put these books down. I pulled all nighters reading these books. Luce and Daniels love is so ahhh. I can’t even.
The Wolves of Mercy Falls by Maggie Stiefvater
Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house for years. A yellow-eyed wolf, her wolf, is a haunting presence she can’t live without. Sam lives a double life, one as a wolf and one as a man. Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy who is so familiar it takes her breath away. Winter is coming and Sam must fight to stay human or he risks losing himself and Grace forever.
Also one of the first series I ever read. It’s a perfect mixture of happy, sad, and romance. The chapters flip back and forth between Grace and Sam’s point of view, giving you an equal amount of emotions from both characters. You will feel sorry for Sam and love him just as much as Grace does.
