The Book Feels Tag

book tag

Every book you read makes you feel a certain way, right? I can’t be the only one who feels this way when they’re reading. I have decided to make a tag about the way books make us feel. The rules are simple: there are no rules. Just answer the questions and link it back to the person who tagged you (and me too would be nice). So here we go:

(All of these are interchangeable as book or series)

A Book that made you smile or laugh

Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham

I absolutely loved this book. I was laughing the whole time I was reading it because if you watch Gilmore Girls you know just how fast she talks. You can read my review on this book here.

A Book that made you sad or want to cry

Charlie St. Cloud

This was such a great book and movie. It’s about one man’s relationship with his brother and a woman. I don’t want to give any spoilers but I do think you should not only see the movie but read the book.

A Book that you love

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

This book is so good. The book and the movie are pretty much synonymous. The book is a series of letters from the main character Charlie telling about his life. The movie is exactly the same and I don’t know if I’m happy about that or not. The book’s great though.

A Book that you didn’t particularly like

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

I have enjoyed most of John Green’s book that I have read so far but this one not so much. I don’t really know why I don’t like it as much as Green’s other books. It just wasn’t my favorite.

A book that was made into a movie that you liked

I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore

I loved this book and the movie. I have read the whole series and I’m pissed they didn’t make anymore movies because they did an awesome job on this one. Who doesn’t love some “aliens” with super powers, right?

The Host by Stephenie Meyer

Okay so this book was on of those where I had to watch the movie first before I could understand the book. Stephenie Meyer did an awesome job on this book and the movie is just as awesome. This book/movie is also about aliens, sorta, I guess. You’ll have to read it or watch the movie to find out. I recommend both.

A book that was made into a movie that you didn’t like

I actually have three for this one.

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

While I loved the book, I hated the movie. They screwed up when they made this movie and cut way too many things out and changed way too much. You can see my review of this movie and book here.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

This book was really good and I liked it a lot. The movie on the other hand was not that great. All the actors seemed to be, over-acting? If that’s how to explain it. I don’t know if that’s just a Tim Burton thing in his movies but this was definitely now a Fave.

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

I was sooo disappointed in this movie (don’t even get me started on the tv show). If I hadn’t read the books the movie probably wouldn’t have been so bad. Both the movie and the tv show are full of inaccuracies and not even the same inaccuracies.

A book you have mixed feelings about

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

This book gives me mixed feelings only because of what happens and her thoughts about it. I know that seems pretty vague but I can’t really explain without giving away huge spoilers.

A book you haven’t read but are totally excited about

Turtles all the Way Down by John Green

I’m a John Green fan so I’m super excited about this book. I’m curious as to what it is about because of the title but most John Green books are that way. Hopefully I can read it soon.

Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo

I am also super excited about this book. I have seen many reviews about it and I really would like to read it. Hopefully I can get my hands on a copy of this soon.

A book that made you angry

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

I can’t really tell you why this book made me angry without spoiling it. The whole book isn’t what made me angry, the book was great, it’s really just one part. Like I said, I can’t tell you which part because it will ruin the story for those who have not read it. For those who have read it, you should know what part I’m talking about.

A book you feel like you can relate to

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

I feel like I can relate to this story to some extent, or maybe just to the main character. Ive had cancer and I’ve struggled to survive many times. The whole finding a guy and falling in love part not so much. This book is a little far fetched as to life with cancer but it is still a good one to read.

I am going to tag a bunch of people:

Never Not Reading

Books & Munches

The Critiquing Chemist

Reading with Rendz

Bionic Book Worm

The Printed Girl

Anyone else is welcome to do it as well!
