December TBR

I’m sad to say once again I did not read the books listed in my previous to-be-read post. Not to say that I didn’t read because I did, just not the books I said I was going to. This month I promise I will be reading these specific books and these books only. You know, unless I finish them before the month is over, of course. So here’s what I will be reading this month:

The Ghostwriters by Mickey J. Corrigan

51w5VacYlFLShe’s ghostwriting a book for a famous author–a recently deceased one. A struggling writer living in Manhattan, Jacy McMasters is the first to admit she’s a terrific liar and a screw-up. Then the ghost of the famous novelist JD Balinger asks her to “channel” a follow-up to his classic coming of age book, The Watcher in the Sky. Along with her new boyfriend, a bear of a man who has no patience for mind games, the ghost in Jacy’s head forces her to confront a lifetime of secrets—dark secrets. Secrets she’s been keeping from herself.

SINthetic by J.T. Nicholas

They look like us. Act like us. But they are not human. Created to perform the menial tasks real humans detest, Synths were designed with only a basic intelligence and minimal emotional response. It stands to reason that they have no rights. Like any technology, they are designed for human convenience. Disposable.

In the city of New Lyons, Detective Jason Campbell is investigating a vicious crime: a female body found mutilated and left in the streets. Once the victim is identified as a Synth, the crime is designated no more than the destruction of property, and Campbell is pulled from the case.

But when a mysterious stranger approaches Campbell and asks him to continue his investigation in secret, Campbell is dragged into a dark world of unimaginable corruption. One that leaves him questioning the true nature of humanity.

And what he discovers is only the beginning . . .

The Organizer by  Natalie Star

Damian Reynolds was destined to be the Organizer of Peace well before his birth. His sixteenth birthday marked a change in his life, one that could possibly affect the future of mankind. But Damian has quirks, issues, and is a natural born klutz so his task is not an easy one. He stays strong for his family and the girl he loves, even though she isn’t what she seems. Jessica has secrets of her own, and for good reason.

I’m making the list short because I also have finals on the 14th so I will be doing some serious studying.

What are you reading this month? Have you read any of these books?
