It’s time for top 5 Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Bionic Book Worm. I’m so excited about this weeks topic because we all read books that not everyone particularly likes and vise versa. So without further ado,
Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
I absolutely LOVE this book and have read it more than once. I would read it again. I love the characters and the story. This book has varying reviews. Some people love it and others hate it. Which is their opinion, but sometimes you’re like
If you haven’t read this book, I definitely recommend it. Ignore the Goodreads reviews and decide for yourself!
The Host by Stephenie Myer
This book also has really mixed reviews where some people like it and others don’t. I liked it though. It took me several attempts to really get into it. I was having a hard time with the two things in one body reading part. Actually, seeing the movie helped me understand the book better before I read the whole thing.
Staying Fat for Sarah Brynes by Chris Crutcher
I had to read this over the summer before my freshman year. While everyone else was complaining and saying they didn’t like it (probably only because it was summer reading) I loved it. The story and the characters are both great. I love finding good stand alone books. (Even if it is school reading.)
If I Stay by Gayle Forman
This book is about love, grief, music and so much more. Not everyone was a fan of this book, but I loved it and it’s sequel. There’s just so much in this short story and I enjoyed it all.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
**Do not compare the movie to this book. The movie is terrible**
Im serious about that disclaimer. I am so glad I read the book before seeing the movie because it would have definitely made me not want to read the book. This is another book that not everyone was a fan of. I really liked it though because it was different. It wasn’t vampires or werewolves or witches it was just strange people.
