WWW Wednesday #21

WWW Wednesday

What’s up, guys? It’s time for WWW Wednesday! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. I’m still reading Harry Potter so that will be in my post for this week, but I’m also trying to finish up my Popsugar Reading challenge list as well so I’m also reading other books. Let’s go ahead and get started!

The three W’s

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading these four books. I am enjoying them all very much (especially Harry Potter).

The Harry Potter book is really good. It’s the second in the series and if I wasn’t trying to finish this reading challenge I would definitely be done with it by now. I totally regret waiting this long to read them.

Island of the Blue Dolphins is one of the books I’m reading in order to knock more books off my challenge list. It is still good though. My brother read it in school and told me it was really good I decided it would be perfect for my “A book with your favorite color in the Title prompt.” It’s also not very long so it shouldn’t take me long to read.

I’m actually listening to The Martain Chronicles on audiobook. It’s a very strange but interesting book, much like his other novels. I’ve enjoyed listening to it more so than trying to read it. Because it’s so strange, I think it’s easier to listen to it instead of trying to figure out what’s going on. It’s pretty good.

My mom and I are listening to Girl, Wash Your Face when we’re in the car together. We are both enjoying it very much. I love when audiobooks are read by their authors. I prefer that to some monotone man/woman reading to me.

What did you recently finish reading?

Both of these books are really good and they both help knock off two prompts from my reading challenge list.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a very interesting book in several different ways. The main reason being is that the book is told from an autistic boy’s point of view. The book doesn’t come out and tell you that he is autistic, but you can kind of piece it together. He doesn’t get jokes, he thinks only logically, he doesn’t like to be touch, he goes to a special school, etc. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was different than anything I had read before.

Why, oh why, did I wait this long to read Harry Potter? I am in love with the way J.K. Rowling writes. It’s interesting, detail-oriented, and exciting. I definitely regret waiting this long to read them. I am going to be very sad when I finish all of the books.

What do you think you will read next?

I will be reading Fight Club next to knock off another book on my list. I’m actually kind of looking forward to reading this. I have a feeling it will be pretty interesting.

I love it when people discover Harry Potter, hah! I’m rereading the books myself; finished Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince #6 last week and I’m hoping to start the final book this week. Fingers crossed!

Hope you keep enjoying the magical journey Rowling gave us. ❤
