Thank you so much Sam @SleepySamReads for tagging me in this fun tag. You should go check out her answers for this tag after you read mine!
1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
I usually read in my chair in the living room of my house, but I also read in my bed at night.
2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?
I usually always use a bookmark. I got these really cool magnet ones off Amazon that are like two inches long and you can get all different kinds but mine have music notes on them (I bought them for my brother but there was eight so we split it). One side has a music note and the other has an arrow point to the page you’re on. I love bookmarks, but I will use random paper. Just don’t dog-ear my pages.
3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/ a certain amount of pages?
I don’t like stopping in the middle of a chapter unless it’s super long and nothing major is going on. I prefer stopping at the end of a chapter.
4. Do you eat or drink while reading?
It’s hard for me to read and eat at the same time. And there’s the fear of getting my book dirty and we can’t have that. I can drink while reading though, I got that one down.
5. Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?
I usually like it quiet while I’m reading. I read slower when there is stuff going on in the background. I do better with music in the background than TV though.
6. One book at a time or several at once?
I should probably only read one book at a time but there are so many books that I want to read and I’m like that dog from UP.
7. Reading at home or everywhere?
I rather read at home than anywhere else. I’m just more comfortable there and usually, if I’m out it’s because I’m doing something.
8. Reading out loud or silently in your head?
To quote Sam, “People read out loud to themselves?” Haha. I guess. I don’t but I’m sure there are people that do.
9. Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
I don’t like to skip ahead or skip pages. Now if it’s like a letter or something like that where the text is separate from the rest of the writing it’s really hard not to.
10. Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
What kind of question is this? What kind of evil person just breaks a book’s spine? Whoever they are, they are evil people. I would never purposefully break the spine of a book.
11. Do you write in your books?
No, but it’s not because I am against it or anything. I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to things like that and if I were to mess up writing or my highlighter lines weren’t straight I would be very upset, so I use lots of post-its. Lots and lots of post-its.
Do any of you agree with my answers? Disagree? Agree to disagree? Let’s talk about it in the comments.
