Top 5 Tuesday | Set in Your Own Country

T5T

Hey guys! It’s time for Top 5 Tuesday! This week’s topic is Books Set in your Own Country. At first, I thought this topic might be a little boring and then I realized we’re all from different places and this is a great way to check out books not set your country. I live in the United States so this list is actually going to be pretty easy. I’ve decided to do books that aren’t quite as popular as other books that way it’s more interesting!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Shanah @BionicBookWorm. Each week we respond to that week’s topic and link back to her page. Go check out her page to join in!

This bulk of this book takes place in Missouri, but each of the sisters lives in different states. One sister lives in New York, one in Tennessee, and the other in Connecticut (not 100% on that one). It’s a really good book about three sister’s whose aunt dies and they all come back to Col River, Missouri for the funeral after not seeing each for five years. There are several plot twists and a little romance.

This book takes place on a college campus in New York. It’s about a girl who has left everything behind after figuring out some surprising news after her grandfather died, including her best friend. I liked this book a lot because I thought it was relatable, not exactly to me, but it’s something that could really happen and I like books like that.

So, I’m not exactly sure if this book takes place in the United States or not, but it does say in a small midwest town, so I’ll take it! This book is about a young girl who is clairvoyant. This is a problem because her father is the pastor of the church across the street who believes its witchcraft. This book wasn’t a five-star book, but it was still really good.

This book is about three teens making a road trip across the country in search of their biological father. KT, Jesse, and Gabe are all donor kids with different families who share the same donor number, 806. This book was actually pretty interesting because all three of them couldn’t be more different. I liked this book a lot.

This book takes place in Gatlin, South Carolina. It’s about a Caster (witch) named Lena who moves to Gatlin and meets Ethan Wate who has been dreaming about her before she even knew her. Lena is being claimed for either the light or the dark and Ethen is convinced he can help Lena, all while falling in love. I really enjoyed this whole series and highly recommend it.
