Hey Guys! It’s time for Top 5 Tuesday! This weeks topic is books that start with ‘P-Q-R-S-T.’ You would think that these letter topics would be easy, but they’re not. I had to go through my Goodreads ‘Read’ shelf to figure out a few this month. Anyways, I cannot wait to see what books you guys pick!
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Shanah @BionicBookWorm. Each week we respond to that week’s topic and link back to her page. Go check out her page to join in!
I know, I know I mention this book a lot, but it will forever be one of my most favorite books despite what it’s about. I love how it’s written in letters and feeling like Charlie (MC) is talking directly to me. It’s emotional and real and I think that’s what I like most about it.
Technically this title starts with ‘The,” but I couldn’t find another book that I had read that had a ‘Q’ in the title so there you go. This was a good book, but it definitely has some hard topics like foster care and sexually abusive characters. I wasn’t completely aware of this when I read it and I’m kind of glad for that because I don’t know if I would have read it otherwise.
This is a story about a girl who finds out she’d been in foster care for the first year or so of her life. I really enjoyed reading this story although there were a few things I didn’t like. I also liked how the story wasn’t super predictable.
I can’t tell you exactly why this book is a favorite of mine but it is. I love the fighting, the family love, and the little bit of romance that is in it. The cover is also very beautiful. The author is brilliant and I am actually going to be reading another book by this author soon and I’m so excited!
It’s pretty obvious why I love this book so much: Lauren Graham is one of my favorite actresses ever. I have loved everything she has been in that I’ve seen, even if she wasn’t the MC. I have read this book twice, well once was an audiobook, and I will probably read it again in the future.
