Top 5 Tuesday | Books I Don’t Talk About Enough

T5T

They guys! It’s time for Top 5 Tuesday and this week’s topic is ‘Books I Don’t Talk About Enough.’ I talk about a lot of books but I’m sure I can come up with five I don’t talk about too much. I’m interested to see what books everyone else posts. This topic lets everyone share books that aren’t as popular or aren’t newer releases. I can’t wait to check out everyone else’s T5T posts!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Shanah @BionicBookWorm. Each week we respond to that week’s topic and link back to her page. Go check out her page to join in!

This book was a little different for me and I think that’s why I liked it so much. The story is told from the point of view of an autistic boy named Christopher. Someone has killed his neighbor’s dog, and Christopher goes to great lengths to find out what happened and who did it. There are several great quotes throughout the book as well which is always a plus in my opinion. You can find my review here.

This is actually a book I had to read over the summer for school going into my freshman year of high school. While most people in my class didn’t like it (probably more because it was a summer read not because of the content of the book), I really liked it. It’s about two outcasts, Eric and Sarah, who have been friends forever. Sarah is in the hospital and Eric is out trying to uncover her secret before something bad happens to them both. I recently saw this book at my favorite used book store and I bought it and plan on reading it again soon.

My brother read this in his eighth-grade English class and he kept talking about it and his teacher is actually a family friend, so when they were done reading it I asked to borrow a copy. I loved this book. It’s an Alice in Wonderland retelling where a girl named Alyss lives in a place like Wonderland and gets trapped in the real world and everyone thinks she’s crazy, but one man, Lewis Carroll writes a book about it all. It’s an interesting retelling and if you’re a fan of Alice in Wonderland I highly recommend it. It’s actually a series of books, but I’ve only read this one. You can find my review here.

I absolutely loved this book. I actually saw this movie (many times) before I even knew there was a book, actually a series, and of course, I had to read them. I haven’t read them all because I read them from my school library when I was in high school. The author has since written more. I do plan on reading them though. I wish they would have continued to make the movies as well.

This actually a semi-new release, it’s been out for about a year or so. This book is about a boy named Jeremy who is kind of stuck in a rut and throughout the story you get to see him change and fall in love and all that good stuff. I really enjoyed reading this book and it’s definitely a reread down the road. you kind find my review here.

Happy Reading!
