Voices of Powerful Women by Zoe Sallis is our book for this week. I love reading books like this because I enjoy learning about influential women. There are all these books about the men who have influenced the world or even smaller things, but books like these highlight the women and that’s why I like them. I only highlighted a few quotes because I could probably highlight the whole book, but here’s just a few:

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” (Eleanor Roosevelt)

— Voices of Powerful Women, Zoe Sallis

“One isn’t necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We cannot be kind, true, merciful, generous, honest.” (Maya Angelou)

— Voices of Powerful Women, Zoe Sallis

“Albert Einstein said, ‘The world is a dangerous place. Not because of the people who are evil, but because of people who don’t do anything about it.’”

— Voices of Powerful Women, Zoe Sallis

“All this talk of women’s rights is moonshine. Women have every right. They have only to exercise them.”

— Voices of Powerful Women, Zoe Sallis

Check out last week’s book The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and other book quotes here.
